Griots Garage Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner
Griot’s Garage sent me a sample of their new Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner product, and ask me to try it out and tell them what I thought. Below is a series of pictures from using this product on one of the front wheels on Kathryn’s 550i.

What I received from Griots:

Step 1 was to rinse the wheel off with water.

Step 2 was to spray the wheel cleaner on and let it sit for 3-5 minutes. After about 1 minute, it turns purple.

After 5 minutes:

Step 3 is to scrub the wheels with the tools provided. This is the scrub tool after one wheel. Luckily, it rinses out easily. I didn’t end up using the sponge provided, as the scrub tool as enough.

All in all, this stuff works great, definitely better than their green wheel cleaner product. I can’t imagine why you would ever use the green stuff given that this exists. I didn’t try it on the tires to speak of, and I think I’ll probably stick with Wesley’s Bleche White for that.
